By the time I reached the venue, they were beginning the begada krithi. The rain and the traffic snarl made the 5 km drive to eat way 40 mins. The new venue did not make it easy for locating and getting the vehicle parked in the rain. I like their playing, hence no complaints after I seated. I am not a great fan of Kalyani, hence I cant comment much. But the swara patterns, alternated between them was superb.
There was an expectation for a short RTP, but the time was already late. They settled in for few after main krithis, before closing with a desh thillana , which was very good.
The venue at the St.Francis shcool is pretty good. The hall is big with sufficient ventilation. This time, the audio arrangement was also good ( not echoing as it used to at the Bank of Baroda building). The stage was decorated very well and there is ample parking space. Hope they stick to this venue.
