tani Avartanam
This was a bit confusing. One was expecting a proper RTP when he started the tAnam (even after he switched to kEdAragauLa for a rAgamAlika tAnam). After nIlambari, he soon started the krithi mAmava mAdhava and passed to the percussioninsts to complete the tani avartanam.

08 thillAna – jaunpuri – ??
09 thiruppavai (Vengakadal??) – suruTTi – ?
10 venkaTa chala nilayE – sindhubhairavi – Purandara Dasa ( A )
Nice sindhubhairavi alapana before the concert came to an end. Bit of pleasent surprice. Beautifully done.
11 Notes – Western Scale – Muthaiah Bhagavathar ?
12 mangaLam – saurAshtram
Concert started with an out of the world Hamsadhwani. The rest of the concert did not get to that level, though. The expectation of us was very high after the opening piece. RTP was a confusing affair. Instead of a grand affair, it turned out pretty ordinary. The Sindhubhairavi piece was very good.
