This concert was the monthly concert series by the Sri Guruvayurappan Bhajan Samiti Trust and probably, the last to be held at the famous Odukathur mutt. I am hearing Sangeetha Sivakumar for the first time live, and she gave a decent concert yesterday. The alapana of dEva manohari was very good. There was some other functions going on at the same temple and the drum beats and noise was a huge distractions for the artists as well as the listeners. Sri Ramesh , did a good job in getting on to his speah and continued the same until the procession moved out of the temple. The later part of the concert was filled with some beautiful rendering of the tukda . Ramesh , hinted at this saying Sangeetha is famous for her tukdas.
