The concerts at Essae Music Foundation are always different. As my previous experiences, this time too the concert was very good. Smt Jayanti Kumaresh gave us a superb evening with very beautiful , mellifluous playing of Veena. While, I did not get the mukhAri and dwijAvanti end pieces, the concert was definitely a soulful experience. On the request of host, she chose chArukEsi as the main RTP and it was the pick of the day. Superb alapana and tanam followed with some very good ragamalika swaras to an all appreciating audience. Jayachandra Rao and Sukanya ramgopal completed the same with a good Tani avartanam. Well deserved Sunday evening for the lovers of classical music.
