What a cracker of a concert. It was awesome. Every person on the stage was in superb form , individually and together. The only crib (!) at the end was that it did not last long. It was a short 2 hr concert, but within the given 2 hrs, the team had put together a brillinat concert. Sri and Saveri alapana from Krishna and the fitting returns by Venkatram on violin, added flavours by Srimushnam Rajarao .. not sure what to pick and choose. Tani avartanam by Srimushnam Raja Rao and Giridhar Udupa was one of the best in recent months. A 30 mins affair after a detailed saveri.
Concert started 30 mins late. Before which, there was a lecture demonstration by Srimushnam Rajarao on ” Palani Subramanya Pillai school of percussion”, which ate into the concert time. The Lec-Dem was interesting ( it was in Kannada) and Sri Raja Rao was in his usual self, with anecdotes, jokes and comments.
