Started the concert very patchy, with lot of shruthi lapses, but gained confident as the concert progressed.  His body language also improved with his confidence.  Relatively unknown set of performers ( could be my ignorance) and a saintly looking vocalist, it was a decent affair, to sum it all.

Infact though i have been a TNS fan, i never heard it till recently . He has sung this in one of his earlier concert recordings. The words are quite scholarly….

    Thank you.

Haven’t heard many rendering of this song. Quite nice, not sure why has it not been popular.

Ayyane Vaa is supposedly a composition of Shri TNS’s mother

I have seen some discussions/ debate over this topic of srI raghukula…

Thanks for the ‘vAncha thonuna’ correction. I have changed.

Any clue on this krithi “AyyanE vA appanE vA’ ?

Also, as far as I know there is no Thillana in Hamsanandi by Swathi Thirunal. However the pallavi lines are with “padmanAbha vAnchi nrupAla…’
