About

In this chaotic world, all that we look forward is to the moments of happiness that transpose you to a place unknown. As you immerse yourself into unhurried rendering of music, fresh smelling pages of stories about fellow humans around the world, walk through the innocence of early mornings, is when you realise the stupidity of all that you are after.

While you seek out those little moments to cherish through the concert halls , through the pages of printed matters, you would like to capture some of them to remind your constantly preoccupied mind.

The hopes aren’t satisfied always, but the quest remain , dragging you to more and more concerts and books… for those glimpses of ecstasy…for those moments of sparkle…

    Dear sir,

I recently chanced upon your very helpful work, I had a free evening and wanted to attend a decent concert by any well-known or new artist. I looked at TOI, DH, VK listings. I found each paper was listing
different things for the same evening or didnt carry required information like time or address of the venue. I hit your site by my good fortune and enjoyed a wonderful evening of music at Chowdaiah. I wanted to write in to thank you and urge you to keep up the good work which is its own reward. Dear Jayan,
Thanks for your sincere attempt to keep possibility of sane existence alive. Like our race for ‘success’, we have come to treat Art as source of personal ‘entertainment’. We forget that things may be larger than our own petty vision.
What people consider your ‘selfless work’ is actually your message ‘to be true to oneself’ — after all, we do deserve to heighten our sensibilities.

    Dear Jayan,
I read with interest your posts about all the concerts you attend. Regarding violin trio concert,I have attended some when lalgudi Jayaraman himself led the trio. They were really superb.Infact the concert at seshadripuram was also of high quality.I recall one of Lalgudi trio concert of 1997 during Bangalore gayana Samaja’s conference in which lalgudi was the president.
